CONSTRUCTION (CLASS X)
Syallabus:-
ü TO DIVIDE THE LINE SEGMENT IN AGIVEN RATIO (INTERNALLY)
ü CONSTRUCTION OF ATRIANGLE SIMILAR TO A GIVEN TRIANGLE
ü CONSTRUCTION OF TANGENTS TO A CIRCLE
QUESTIONS :-
Q1.
Construct a ∆ABC in which AB=6.5 cm, ∟B=60⁰ and BC=5.5 cm . Also construct a ∆AB’C’ similar to ∆ABC, whose each side is 3/2 times the corresponding sides of ∆ABC.
Q2. Draw a ∆ABC with sides BC=6cm ,AB=5cm and ∟ABC=60⁰. Construct a ∆AB’C’ similar to ∆ABC such that sides of ∆AB’C’ are 3/4of the corresponding
sides of ∆ABC.
Q3. Draw an isosceles
∆ABC in which AB =AC= 6cm and BC=5cm . Construct A ∆PQR similar to ∆ABC in which PQ=8cm. Also justify the construction.
Q4. Construct
a pair of tangents that can be inclined at an angle of 170⁰.
Q5. Draw a
circle of radius 6cm . From a 10cm away
from its centre, construct the pair of tangents to the circle and measure its
length.
Q6. Draw a
circle of radius 5cm from a point on the concentric circle of
radius 6cm draw a tangent to a circle of radius 5cm and measure its length.
Q7. Draw a
line segment of length 7.8cm and divide it in the ratio 5:8. Measure the two
parts to verify the result.
